The Blue and Whites arrived at Bilbao airport at 12:30 p.m. and will remain at Hotel Gran Silken Domine until tonight’s match. The players travelled alongside some 50 fans who will be cheering their team on at San Mamés tonight, for the Copa del Rey quarter-final second leg, kicking off at 10.

Málaga CF is heading to Bilbao for the second time in a week, this time for the Copa del Rey quarter-final second leg against Athletic Club, taking place on Thursday at 10 p.m. at San Mamés. The Blue and Whites are travelling to Bilbao on a charter flight on the same day as the match.

The Professional Football League has announced the timetable for the 25th BBVA League games of the season, which will see Málaga CF welcome Getafe CF to La Rosaleda on Saturday 28th February at 10 p.m. The match, coinciding with Andalucía Day, is being broadcast on the Energy channel.

Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Weligton Robson Pena de Oliveira held a press conference to analyse the forthcoming Copa del Rey quarter-final second leg against Athletic Club at San Mamés on Thursday: “We’re full of motivation and enthusiasm to go as far as we can in this competition, although we’re well aware it will be a very difficult match.”

Málaga Club de Fútbol coach, Javi Gracia held a press conference in the Juan Cortés room to analyse tomorrow’s BBVA League game against Athletic Club: “We’re treating this match as though it were a final and are not taking anything for granted. We want to start this second round with a win.”
