Juan Miguel Jiménez López ‘Juanmi’ held a press conference this morning to talk about his contract extension with Málaga Club de Fútbol. The Coín-born ‘Malaguista’ striker is signed to the Blue and Whites until the 2017/18 season: “I’m very happy and I’d like to thank the Club for their faith in me. I want to keep growing as a player here at this Club, as they’ve given me everything since I was a child. I want to continue defending this shirt with pride.”

Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Roberto Rosales and Juan Pablo Añor 'Juanpi' have been selected to join Venezuela’s national team for a plan of work from 5th to 15th October. Juanpi was previously called-up to the country’s first team for a similar event in February.

Málaga Club de Fútbol and Juan Miguel Jiménez López ‘Juanmi’ (Coín, 20/05/1993) have reached an agreement for the Málaga-born player to remain with the Blue and Whites for another three seasons. Juanmi made his first team debut in 2009/10 at just 16 years of age, and despite being so young, is now in his sixth year with the ‘Malaguista’ first team.

Málaga Club de Fútbol travelled to Madrid on the AVE train this evening, arriving at 7:45 p.m. With Moayad Shatat at the helm, accompanied by Club adviser, Francisco Martín Aguilar and sporting director, Mario Husillos, the ‘Malaguistas’ made their way to Hotel Monte Real where they’ll remain until just before tomorrow’s match against Getafe Club de Fútbol at the Alfonso Pérez Coliseum, kicking off at 12 p.m.

‘Malagueño’ football reaches an important landmark during the year celebrating 110 years of football in the city. Málaga Club de Fútbol will reach its 500th First Division match at the Alfonso Pérez Coliseum, following 14 seasons in the Spanish footballing elite. Out of these 500 games, with a total of 166 players taking part, Málaga CF has achieved 167 wins, 132 draws and 200 defeats, scoring a total of 629 goals and conceding 704. Reaching 500 games isn’t the only significant statistic, as midfielder, Ignacio Camacho, if he’s called-up, will play his 100th First Division match with Málaga CF on Sunday.

Málaga Club de Fútbol coach, Javi Gracia held a press conference this morning following training at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium, to analyse tomorrow’s match against Getafe Club de Fútbol at the Alfonso Pérez Coliseum: “Getafe CF have a lot of quality players, so we need to be very disciplined.”
