Málaga Club de Fútbol underwent a closed training session this morning at La Rosaleda, ahead of tonight’s Copa del Rey knockout stage return leg which will see Javi Gracia’s men face Real Club Deportivo de la Coruña at 10 pm.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee has announced the suspended players from the next League round. Rosales, Samuel García and Weligton are banned from Málaga CF’s last match of 2014 against Elche CF taking place on Saturday, due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

Málaga Club de Fútbol coach, Javi Gracia held a press conference in La Rosaleda’s Juan Cortés press room this morning ahead of tomorrow’s Copa del Rey knockout stage return leg, a competition “we want to fight for, be involved in and enjoy for as long as possible.”

Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Juanpi Añor held a press conference after this morning’s training session at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium. The Venezuelan-born midfielder talks about Thursday’s Copa del Rey match: “We’re only focusing on Thursday’s game at the moment. We’re wholly committed and excited about the Cup match and determined to qualify to the next round.”

Málaga CF midfielder, José Luis García del Pozo ‘Recio’ held a press conference this morning following his contract extension with the Martiricos Club. The El Palo-born player is thrilled his contract has been renewed until 2017/18 and affirms: “I want to pursue my career with my home team.”

His goal led to victory for the Blue and Whites in last night’s game, and Samuel García has been chosen as man of the match by fans: “I’m really happy with my goal, for the team’s hard work throughout the match and for claiming three important points.
