Málaga CF’s last stop in the Liga World Challenge for this 2015/16 pre-season is the capital of Uruguay. Another historic journey where the Blue and Whites will face CA Peñarol at the legendary Centenario stadium. It will also be a special game for Blue and Whites’ assistant coach, Marcelo ‘Gato’ Romero, who is from Uruguay and a former player with the Montevideo-based team, as well as youth team player, Kuki Zalazar, the son of Uruguayan- born José Luis Zalazar.

With the aim of promoting the Dolmen Sites in Antequera as World Heritage, Málaga Club de Fútbol is taking part in an international friendly in El Maulí on Friday 7th August at 8 p.m. against Dubai-based Al Wasl Football Club, the best team of the 20th century in the United Arab Emirates, formerly led by Argentine star, Diego Armando Maradona. This match is part of the Antequera Dolmen World Heritage Cup, tickets for which are now on sale priced at 10 euros, at Antequera CF and Hotel Antequera.

Málaga CF’s Argentine-born Fernando Tissone is enjoying an intense few days in Buenos Aires along with his compatriot, Marcos Angeleri: “It’s very special for us to come to our country and see our families and friends. We’ve only got a few days to make the most of it, as it’s important that we continue to improve over the pre-season in order to start the League well and perform at our best in the upcoming matches.”

The Club’s sports director, and former San Lorenzo player, Mario Husillos; coach, Javi Gracia; and Argentine defender, Marcos Angeleri were in charge of representing Málaga CF in the presentation of the EuroAmericana clash with Club Atlético San Lorenzo on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. local time (1:30 a.m. in Spain) at the Nuevo Gasómetro.

The Spanish-Brazilian striker scored his debut goal for the Blue and Whites against Deportivo Cali: “I’m thrilled. It’s always important for a striker to score goals. It was my first and I’m very happy. It was a shame we lost, but I think the team is on the right track,” affirms the striker.
