Chory: “We want to enter into a victory-fuelled dynamic”

Left-winger, Chory Castro spoke to the media in the Ciudad de Málaga press room after training: “The season is very long and there are lots of points in play.”

Hard work and strength

“We need to change the situation, hold our heads up and correct the mistakes that we’re making.  This will come from hard work and sacrifice.  We know we need to be a stronger, more solid team, and that’s what we’re working on.  Up next is a rival who we lost to here last season, so we’re aware they’re not going to give anything away.”

Athletic, tough rival

"Every year they’re up there in the fight for European positions, and in the running for the Copa del Rey.  They’ve been a strong team for years, so we know what we’re up against.  At the very least this rival will surprise you, and with these teams, it’s very difficult to come back from that later.”

Investing in the dynamic

"We’re focused on winning the next match.  The season is very long and there are lots of points in play, but we want to enter into a victory-fuelled dynamic and consolidate the team.  That’s what’s concerning us the most at the moment.”

Healthy competition with Jony

"We’re competing with each other for the position, it’s about seizing opportunities.  It’s a good, healthy competition, as I have a great relationship with Jony.  Whoever gets the chance to play gives their all for the team and does what the coach requests.  Each one of us uses our skills to help the team.”
