Child’s Play (Prebenjamín)

Get to know the youngest players from MCF’s academy. Experience a match with our Prebenjamines and join them on a trip to La Rosaleda to see the first team in action.

MCF’s prebenjamines are from the 2008 generation.  They compete in Group 3 of the 3rd Andaluza division and have taken part in an international tournament.  Last December, they participated in the Zaratán Cup in Valladolid, and were champions of their category.  Also, over Easter they’ll be heading to Portugal to take part in the Mundialito de Clubes.  This will be the first time the Club has competed in this competition in this category.

Last Friday, the boys faced AD Malaka CF and, following the game, all went to watch the Málaga CF – Getafe CF match held on the same day.  MCFTV accompanied them on this special day.

Coach, José Luis López explained to the Club’s media that his methodology “is to convince the player, it’s easier that way, so as not to give direct orders.  The idea is to focus on the team, excellence in play and good behaviour.  We always adopt an attitude of fair play, and above all, the first rule is never to argue with the referee.”

Later in the afternoon at La Rosaleda, the second coach, José Carlos Ramírez highlighted the importance of the young players watching the first team in action: “From a very young age they fly the Málaga flag and in the first year they come here they can visit La Rosaleda and share the great experience with their team, which is a special motivation,” says the second coach moments before the match kicked off.

Last Friday was, without doubt, a very special day for the ‘Malaguista’ family, where the youngest players enjoyed football with the greats.
