Benítez, thrilled to receive the award, was accompanied by his family, friends and a large number of Málaga CF members in an institutional event on Andalusia Day, where awards also went to designer Stella Rittwagen and Cadena Cope, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary as a Malaga-based radio station. Abdullah Ben Barek, the inseparable colleague and co-consultative advisor couldn’t miss attending the event, nor could Javi Gracia as head coach and Duda as captain of Málaga CF‘s first team. Of course there was an array of talent present from Malaga’s Ex-footballer association over which Benítez presides as honorary member.
