Alevín and Benjamín teams end the season in Andalucían Championships

The two sides from Málaga CF’s Academy took part in the final stage in Calahonda (Granada) against the best teams in the region.

The Second Andaluza Alevín and Third Andaluza Benjamín teams competed in the Andalucían Championships last weekend at the Carchuna-Calahonda municipal stadium (Granada).  The best teams in the region were taking part, and the Blue and Whites’ players put on a great performance.

The Alevín A were proclaimed runners-up after defeating Ciudad de Granada in the semi-final, and losing out to Sevilla FC in the fight for first place.  The Málaga side end a success-filled season, including a notable participation in LaLiga Promises, reaching the quarter-finals.

For their part, the Benjamín side finished the Andalucían Championships in third place.  They were unable to overcome Real Betis in the semi-final, and defeated Almería-based UD Pavía in the fight for third place.

Despite neither side claiming the title, their participation in the final stage of the tournament was remarkable and the players showed great quality.  Málaga CF’s sports director, Francesc Arnau, and Club adviser, Abdullah Ben Barek, supported the young academy players throughout the entire weekend.
