La Academia teams take part in prestigious national tournaments this weekend
Teams in Málaga Club de Fútbol’s lower ranks are taking part in the famous BlueBBVA National Tournament, the Nike Cup and a new Martos-based competition, with all the best clubs in Andalucía.
La Academia post-season tournaments get underway
As soon as the season ends, Málaga Club de Fútbol’s La Academia teams will be travelling over Europe taking part in a variety of football tournaments. This coming weekend, the ‘Malaguistas’ are going to Ronda (Málaga), Montalbán (Cádiz), Villamartín (Cádiz), Lodi (Italy) and Pleudihen (France).
Málaga CF takes part in under-17’s international tournament
One of La Academia’s ‘juvenil’ teams is participating in the under-17’s world tournament, getting underway today until 2nd June in Madrid. The Blue and Whites are in Group B alongside Real Madrid, River Plate and Sampdoria.
La Academia’s ‘Cadete’ and ‘Infantil’ teams proclaimed Andalucían champions
A fantastic weekend for La Academia teams that took part in the final phase of the Andalucían Championships, in the ‘Cadete’ and ‘Infantil’ categories. Andrés Carrasco’s boys defeated Real Betis in the semis (2-1) to go on to beat Sevilla FC in the final (3-0). Javier Moran’s ‘Infantiles’ were victorious over Real Betis in the semi-finals (3-1) and later defeated Granada CF in the final (4-0) to take the title.
La Academia’s ‘Cadetes’ and ‘Infantiles’ fight for the Andalucían Championships
Málaga CF’s La Academia ‘Cadete’ and ‘Infantil’ teams are taking part in the final stage of the Andalucían Championships this weekend, in Villanueva del Trabuco. Both teams face Real Betis Balompié in the semi-finals on Saturday, hoping for a place in Sunday’s final.
La Academia teams perform well in two international tournaments in France
Two La Academia teams in the ‘juvenil’ category travelled to France last weekend to take part in two international tournaments, namely the Festival D’armor, in Plougonvelin and the IC Croix Tournament.
Málaga CF’s Cadete side proclaimed Andalucían Coca-Cola Cup champions
Andrés Carraco’s boys defeated Sevilla FC on penalties (5-3) during the Coca-Cola Cup match held in Loja (Granada), following a 0-0 draw after full time.
La Academia results
Atlético Malagueño’s victory against Casino del Real leaves Josep Clotet’s boys in fourth place with qualification to the Second Division B promotion play-offs. The Juvenil División de Honor side weren’t as lucky in their Copa del Rey first leg match against Villareal CF, and need to try and turn the result around in the return leg of the last-16. The Alevín Preferente team got through to the next stage of the Andalucían Championships, and will now face Ciudad de Granada.
