The first year ‘Infantil’ team from Málaga CF’s youth academy has returned to Spain following the Euro-Bierbeek tournament held in Belgium. Rubén Castillo’s boys ended the competition in 7th place, having come up against some great youth teams from all over Europe.

The pre-season for Málaga CF’s youth teams is now underway, with the summer tournaments kicking off to prepare the boys for the start of the League competition. The first year ‘Infantiles’ from the youth academy travelled to Bierbeek in Belgium today for the international tournament, the Euro-Bierbeek, which kicks off tomorrow, with major European clubs taking part, including Ajax, Chelsea, Everton and Schalke 04 amongst others. is a point of reference for children attending the MCF School, and their parents. This project, launching within the 2014/15 season, welcomes boys and girls between 5 and 12 years of age to attend training sessions focused on teaching the ‘Malaguista’ methodology and values.

The ‘Alevín’ and ‘Benjamín’ teams from Málaga CF’s youth academy both finished in third place in the ‘Ciutat de Torrent’ Tournament held in Valencia, defeated by FC Barcelona and Villarreal CF in the semi-finals. La Academia’s 7-a-side coach, Carlos Jiménez was awarded the prize of ‘best coach in the tournament.’
