A victory-filled weekend for the Malaguista youth ranks, with a standout epic win for Atlético Malagueño in Motril by 2-3.

Atlético Malagueño secured an historic victory at Escribano Castilla against CF Motril, in the 4th Third Division Group IX game of the season.  Following an even first half in which Mula put the reserve team in the lead, Ramiro equalised for the locals, with the scoreboard showing 1-1 at half-time.  No sooner had the second half got underway, Blue and Whites’ player, Gabri was sent off, and soon after, Ramiro made it a 2-1 lead for the home side.  However, in the final 20 minutes of play, and at a numerical disadvantage, Malagueño turned the result around thanks to two substitutes freshly off the bench; Luismi and David Muñoz, who made it a 2-3 win.

The Blue and Whites’ reserve team has beaten the previous record of MCF’s second team in Third Division Group IX, who started the 2013/14 season with three wins and a draw in the first four matches.  This 2016/17 season, the team are firm leaders of the group with 12 points (11 goals scored and three conceded).
