This Friday, the team of the Association of former Málaga footballers, took part in the inauguration of the new San Ignacio ground, El Palo. The malaguista veterans faced and won (1-3) a veteran squad from El Palo in the renovations of the playing field to one with artificial grass, with a stand that will accommodate around 1,000 people and that can be interchanged between the main football ground and another annex for Fútbol-7. The game that had a friendly rivalry was decided by blue and white goals from Servia (2) and Marco. The legendary Basti, paleño by Barth, played the first half with Málaga and the second with El Palo. The Club’s veterans sported a shirt in support of Carlos Arjona, former blue and white player, who is going through a difficult time because of illness.

Member of Málaga Club de Fútbol Advisory Council, Francisco Martín Aguilar represented the Club at the inauguration of San Ignacio. Some important people were at the inauguration, like president of the Partido Popular in Málaga, Elías Bendodo, or the former international referee Antonio Jesús López Nieto, among others.
