Baptista begins ball work and continues with his recovery

The Brazilian player, Julio Baptista, has made significant progress at Málaga Club de Fútbol’s afternoon session today, Wednesday 22nd February, by touching the ball for the first time since he began his recovery treatment for his injury (a broken sesamoid in his right foot). The Malagista, therefore, begins a new stage in his adaptation.

Baptista began the session in the gym, carrying out anti-gravity exercises on a machine which allows him to run better and which reduces body fat.  Then, the Brazilian striker, under the orders of the first team’s recovery coach, Hugo Camarero, did some training in the sand pit at the ciudad de Málaga stadium, where the Blue and Whites afternoon session was taking place.

As well as the positive news, this afternoon’s session featured the entire Malaguista squad who took part in warm-ups, rounds, and a mini-match on a reduced pitch.

Gámez and Helder Rosario continued with their recovery processes for their respective injuries.

Tomorrow, Thursday 23rd, the Málaga Club de Fútbol first team will return to train at the Ciudad de Málaga at 10.30 a.m.
