Sergio Sánchez: “I want to make history with Málaga”

Sergio Sánchez arrived at Málaga CF last season, and has become a valued Blue and Whites player. He says he wants to make history with the Club, and the challenge is for Málaga to remain one of the best teams in the country. The Barcelona-born defender speaks to MCF-TV in Alicante.

(Best moments) “The biggest achievement was reaching fourth place in the League, which was our main aim for the season.  With regards to everything else, it’s about being able to rely on great friends.”
 
 
(Objectives) “From a sporting point of view, ensuring Málaga reaches European positions, and the challenge of performing our best in the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.”
 
 
(Historic moment) “Every player wants to be a part of history.  Reaching the Champions League is what all footballers dream of, and I’m sure the fans are as excited as we are. 
 
 
(The fans) “Málaga has always been like a big family, and the connection between the players and fans is amazing.  They really help and support us during the tough times, and show their excitement and love for the team in the good times. 
 
 
(La Academia) “The reserve squad players are really eager to support and one day be a part of the first team.  They’re all at a high level, and continue to work very hard.”
