(Pre-season) “It’s going to be a long, hard season. This is what the pre-season stage is for, to work hard, perform well, and to ensure our batteries are fully charged for the season ahead.
(Passion for golf) “I know the course well, as we were here last year for the pre-season. The golf course and entire hotel are really great, but it’s a shame that we don’t really have any time to enjoy them. We hardly have any spare time as our priority is obviously football and working as hard as we can.”
(Favourite club) “I really like to use a seven iron, but in order to play well you need to be able to use all the clubs.”
(A wedge for precision) “You need to have precision with everything otherwise it’s very difficult to play. We’re not all as precise in our game play as we need to be yet, but it’s normal to be very tired during the first few days of the pre-season. Also quality players like Isco and Cazorla aren’t with us here at the moment.”
(The putter - goal shooter) “It might seem that shooting at goal is the easiest thing, but the most important part is ensuring the ball goes in the hole, scoring a goal. Therefore the putter is like a striker, whether it be Seba, Rondón or Joaquín.
(Hole in one) “Our main aim right now is winning the Champions League play-off. I think winning that game and qualifying for Champions will be like getting a hole in one.”
