On 13th April 2011, La Rosaleda completed its 70th anniversary and event that was celebrated on the Stadium with representatives of institutions, as well as groups and malagueña personalitiesthat, during its extensive life full of anecdotes, excitement and renovations that embellished a beautiful existence in blue and white.
The celebration ended with the First Division encounter between Málaga Club de Fútbol and R.C.D. Mallorca, on 16th April 2011. Lourdes Alonso, the girl who kicked off in 1941, returned to repeat it from the centre of the Martiricos park to commemorate that first event.
